Went to the Deere dealer today looking at box blades. I am really thinking I need a box blade to for leveling dirt around my building site. I have a woods grader blade and front end loader on my Kubota 3830. But I think the box would speed things up a little and improve the smoothness of my grading. Anyway money is tight. So $500.00 for a Woods box is out of the question. The dealer had a used Tractor Supply Brand box on his lot. It is 72" and doesn't look like it has worked much. I asked the price on it and he wants $275.00. New boxes at TSC cost $400.00! Do you think I would be getting a good deal. I thought I may offer $225.00 and see what happens. If I get it I am going to paint over the dull red with something bright to complement the Kubota orange! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Any advice would be greatly apperciated. Thanks!

I'd offer no more than $200....gives you more wiggle room. Have 2 $100 bills in your hand and your tailgate down!

I agree with scout. Going price for good serviceable used implements is about 50% of new value. Very ocasionally i will go more it it is super low use or 'not' used... If it is rough.. figure 25% to 30%.

Take the 275 with you.. but have say 200-225 in one pocket, and the rest in the other... That's a decent price for a light to mediuym duty box. I myself bought a roadside special for 100$.. was old ad a tad beat up.. but price was right and all I do is push maneuer up with it!
