Today I modified my 4in1 for easier log and brush handling.

What I did was cut the top clam sides to form a tooth low on the bucket edge and added an outside tooth cut from 3/8 by 3 angle iron. I made the lower tooth 3 inches long and even with the dozer edge. This should give me an easier grab of logs and brush but make no impact on the dozer or bucket action. I made them short and strong as to not bend and a single tooth at the base of the clam side gives me a bit more of a finger/ thumb grip. I will try it out soon.

The standard ATI bucket worked but was a bit troublsome on large or irregular logs.

Attached is a finished picture of it. I would have taken a better one but the camera battery was going down.

Tried it tonight and this is what I found.

I pulled about 20 - 2 to 5 inch tag elder trees and scooped them up with the bucket. The small teeth worked much better than the standard bucket. It was easy to get a grip on them and much easier to grip larg diameter logs I moved around to test with. If the teeth were longer they would work even better but then they would interfere with the bucket funtion and would be prone to bending. So far, I am pleased. I will take photos next chance I get.

Attached is a picture of the new teeth in action. They do work very well, increasing the ease of grabbing brush and logs.

I pulled many more small trees- 2 to 5 inch- diameter and gathered them with the 4in1 for burning.

Said I would follow up so I did.
