I just got my woods 9000 hoe installed on my L 5030 Kubota with a 18" gannon bucket. I just got rid of my JD48 hoe that was on a 4400. The gannon bucket has wear bars across the bottom of the bucket. The deere bucket did not. The woods hoe seems alittle stronger with the dipper but the bucket curl is not near what the JD hoe had. I wonder if the wear bars contacting the hard dirt would make this difference. Both hoes have a 18" bucket. I dug out 6 cedar stumps & a old water hydrate Friday. The woods has a very hard time filling the bucket half full in one pass. Any thoughts.

Do you have bucket cylinder rod attached to power mode hole on bucket?

Yes I do, I figured that I needed more pwer than curl.

I just purchased a Wood's 9000 backhoe for my Mahindra 4500. I didn't want 3pt hookup and Wood's fabricated a sub frame mount for it. I figured sub frame would give me more strength. Mahindra endorses the Bradco backhoe and I don't want to get into warranty issues with the Wood's. The 3 pt takes all of the abuse. Anyway, my tractor pump had above the rated capacity needs of the backhoe but my hydraulic reservoir didn't. I had to opt for the aux pump and I'm glad I did. I purchased the 24" and 16" buckets with the backhoe. I use the backhoe in two different areas. One is clay and the other is sandy but with sandstone ledge 3' down throughout the property. I have had no problem coming up with a full scoop in every pass. Yes - I might nudge the dipper a bit to give the "curl" a better grip. I started with the 24" bucket and haven't needed the 16" nor do I see the need now. Anyone need a 16" Gannon bucket? I never had a backhoe before now and I'm still in the learning curve with nothing to compare it to. With that in mind - I'm really satisfied with the purchase and worth every penny. When they named it the "ground breaker" - I think they were right on!

I have noticed however that the outrigger cylinders drop a little over 2 weeks of non use - perhaps 1" or so....is this normal or a sign of a leaky valve on the backhoe? Nothing major in my mind but an observation on my part.

I am very jealous. Mine is sub frame mout and PTO pump too. I think there is some thing wrong with mine. I may have the dealer check the pressures first and go from there.
