I think there was a recent thread on this exact item, or one that was on ebay that was VERY similar.

A search for grapple should find it. Make sure you search all forums and set the time to search beyond the minimum defalt value that is one week... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif (or is it spelled grappel? I think you got it right though)

I searched combinations of grapple, thumb and bucket up to a year back. Maybe I need to try grappel..

I thought I saw something recently also but no luck in finding it...

The product you posted on "The Thumb", like the products in other posts, looks interesting for my needs. I have Kioti CK20HST TLB, and I wonder if my loader, with reinforcing at the bucket, would take The Thumb without problems. I have a midmount pto that is not used. Where would the hydraulic "power" come from on a tractor like mine to manipulate the thumb? My bucket is rated to about 1000 lbs, with ballast in use. Can The Thumb or other hydraulic posered thumbs esily be used on a loader my size? This wold be real handy top use with a toothbar to grab and place large rocks that are less than 1000 lbs but far to hearvy to move by hand. But, maybe there is a better thumb to use with my backhoe to grab and place rocks? I'd be curious if anyone has any experience with thumbs on a tractor my size (about 3,300 lbs with TLB) on the backhoe or FEL and which is more useable or easier to install. Thanks. Charlie

I took at look at the Kioti web site and it looks like the loader buckets are flat across the top where the grapple would attach. The grapple bracket should just bolt right on. You may need to get a power beyond kit for you loader valve (if you don't already have) and add a hyd valve to control the grapple open/close. A stationary thumb for your backhoe might work out better for your stone wall work (better able to accurately place stones) and you wouldn't need to hook up any additional hydraulics.
