I have a NH TC33D and my old disc that I had been using to work food plots gave up the ghost. I am in the market for a new or used replacement and I was hoping to get some ideas as to size and build quality to consider. My acreage is in southern Indiana therefore it is rolling as well as flat in spots.

Most people are carrying two types in the 5-6' range.. one with sealed bearings and sturdier frame.. and one with the older grey iron bearings.. and angle iron frames... usually a few hundred$ difference.

The cheape rone willdo the job.. especially if it will be a 'leave out in the field' type deal. However the sealed bearing one may last longer and is heavier.. weight is good for a disc..

prairiegrass,if you can afford it you might want to consider buying a tiller.we plant about 10 acres on our hunting club in central ga.for years we all we used a 5' disc,i bought a tiller and now the food plots look much better and they last longer, not to mention it takes us less time to plant.

Howdy neighbor! I'm from southern Indiana also. I do custom work for several hunt clubs and private individuals. I am switching to mainly no-till planting. I have a very nice 7-1/2' three point disc that I'm planning on selling. I use a wheel disc (9') for most of my work. The 7-1/2'er is not needed anymore. Contact me at jfugit@iglou.com if you are interested. (Near Louisville)
