Re: Backhoe Price
I think Harv had cited a book on backhoe technique
It might have been me. Harv and I get confused all the time. After all, he lives in California and I live in Wisconsin. He is good looking and and and oh yeah, I have a bigger tractor!
Here is a link to a book on TLB operations that I found;

I haven't ordered the book, so I don't know how good it is! You're on your own

I knew I was confused all the time, John, but thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.

Re: Backhoe Price
Sorry about that! 'shoulda done a little research before attributing Harv instead of you. Attached is a picture of the latest project - along with a Lyndeborough nugget about 3 feet by 4 that the 'hoe pulled up easily, but the bucket couldn't lift!

Re: Backhoe Price
Is that a Woods 9000? Nice BH. The 9000 is a nice step up from the Kubota 4690 and Woods 7000. That's one of the benefits of the L's

Re: Backhoe Price
I have installed both Woods 7500's & 9000's on L3710 Kubota's. The 7500 does look a bit small on the machine and the Woods Subframe does overhang the rear of the tractor quite awkwardly. You also lose alot of ground clearance because of the subframe making it very difficult for those who have to unload their tractors off of trailers in customers driveways. Three point hitch mounted backhoes are hard to attach to newer Kubota's which use the telescopic type stabilizer brackets. It is impossible to eliminate all side to side play leaving a sloppy connection to the tractor. One way to correct tis is to replace one side with the older style turnbuckle type stabilizer chain. I have been happiest with Bradco's frame mounted backhoes. Their units fit snugly to the rear of the tractor's as they should. Proportionaly, the 8' Model 408 & the 9' Models 509 & 609 look very well on the tractors. They do cost more than the Woods hoes but when you compare the quality it is understandable. Hope this helps and good luck......

Re: Backhoe Price
I took delivery of a L3710 HST with a LA681 FEL, an Amerequip 7600 backhoe with a 16" bucket, dual remote hydraulics, Kubota belly mower, and 12" post hole digger yesterday. Price on the invoice for the Amerequip 7600 was $3,827.00. That included installing it on the tractor. Haven't used it yet, but it is a 3 PT hookup and uses the tractor hydraulics. Looks to have a maximum of 8' digging depth. I would be interested on any comments about the Amerequip Backhoe. Specs are on their homepage for about four of their different size backhoes. The 7600 comes in between the two Kubota backhoes for the L3710. (I had just never heard of them before) It happened to be a package deal ordered by someone who backed out on the deal several months back so they probably gave me a pretty good deal.

Re: Backhoe Price
The Amerequip backhoe specs for their 6600 and 7600 are identical to the specs for the Bush Hog 662H and 762H. They must be the same backhoes with different names on them.
