JD 1207 Haybine

About all I know about my Yanmar 3000 is that it has 30 PTO hp, 33 engine hp. The weight is at roughly 2600 lbs without the FEL. The FEL stays on all the time though and adds another 750 lbs.
( Koyker 160, 5' bucket ) Total weight without anything on the 3 point at 3350lbs. Could have a little more by putting fluid in the ag tires, but havn't had a need to yet. Bought both of the english manuals I could and the parts manual that is in japaneese but some info is rather hard to come by still.

Guys I've run both a jd 1207 7 footer and a massey Ferguson 925 9 footer which weighs much more than the 1207. We use a 50hp mahindra 5010 and an old 2010 john deere running a little over 50hp and where we are at some fields have very steep hills and both tractors will pull both cutters lile a champ. As for a tedder that's just a waste of money, if you condition the hay with a mower conditioner drying time can be up to two days faster if its hot weather. I see people flying thru the field with disc mowers and there hay lays there for days before they take it and usually rake it right in front of tje bailer. That's a big no no in my opinion. With a conditioner sure u have to go slower but the drying time makes up for it plus u have nice rows you can rake one into two unless its very thick then the baler just won't bale it right and you have different weights and tightness of the bales. I usually cut on one day let it lay the next rake the next then check the botttom the next just in case it needs to be rolled over in the sun for a few hours then bail it. From 15yrs experience I will only use mower conditioners because of the faster drying time, less time raking or teddering, because sometimes the weather won't let it lay long enough to dry if its not conditioned.

New member and novice with a naive question: I've sort of inherited a 1207. Having trouble finding parts for it, and my local John Deere dealer said that the people they go thru for parts from equipment that old said that they can't get the part that I'm looking for. QUESTION IS: would the 1209 have most of the same parts? because I can find those on the internet.
