Check your manual for rpm at different throddle settings. What is the rpm requirement for the generator? Don't know for a fact, but suspect you might be able to hook up without requiring any reduction gearing/belts. The 12hp Kohler should handle a 2500kw-5000kw (possibly a bit more) with no problem. And a 2 wheel tractor would make a good power source for you. Earthtools used to sell a platform which hooked to the tractor for mounting stationary items such as pumps, generators, etc. However, I understand that they no longer sell it because of your legal system (liability issues).
