i checked at the local fleet farm store...king kutter tillers come in 48" 60" and 72" (at their store anyways).

i think 60" is too big for my b7610.

i was surprised to find out that the 48" is more expensive than the other two....$1350!! is this the same elsewhere????

for that price i doubt ill go with king kutter.

I'm also thinking about a tiller for my JD 4110. TSC just opened a new store in my town this morning so I went to see what they had. The 48in King Kutter they had on the lot was $1098. It was the only size they had in stock.

I didn't find the price on the 48".
But the TSC in my area is listing the 60" tiller at $1155.
The 72" tiller at $1430

Wijc,

For what it’s worth, I got a 52" woods for my Killer B7610 for about $1,500.00. It's seems like a good fit.

Best of luck.

I run a 60" King Kutter off the back of my JD 4100 in hard clay. It works my engine, but rarely bogs it down unless I hit the stuff that my pick axe bounces off. Shakes me around pretty good, but keeps chugging. The key is to go slow. I wouldn't have paid more for the 48"!

I priced a Land Pride this weekend. Found the same thing the 44 inch was more than some of the larger tillers. I do like the fact that you can move the connection points on the tiller to make attaching to the narrow 3 point hitch on the BX much easier. By the way the Land Pride was $1,450 before taxes. I'm holding out seems like a lot of money for a tiller.

You might want to look at the CCM Gear drive tillers. They have adjustable hitch blocks and powder paint. No taxes will be collected since you are out of TN. We have free lift-gate service and inexpensive shipping.

I use a 72" king kutter behind my tc33d (27pto h.p) and it works great. the big question is what are you tilling? If your just tilling a garden in Spring and Fall like me its no problem. If your breaking new sod ground on dry clay that gonna need 50hp. HUGE difference in how soft the ground is to be tilled.

Here is another story. I went to an auction last year at a dealer that was clearing out and had 2 brand new woods 60" tillers in the crates that went for $800 each. I just sat there and watched shaking my head. i already had a tiller and only had enough money to buy a couple other things that i wanted so i passed it up. i still kick myself for not getting them and reselling. The 2 guys that got them were buddies and they chuckled as they both only paid $800 each for them. You snooze you lose hehe

King Kutter makes a decent machine...just be careful about buying from TSC...if you have a warranty problem your S.O.L...they will give u the parts ans day "here, fix it."

We sell King Kutter and Befco...can't go wrong with a Befco tiller, over 60,000 made, tried and true design. I won't sell anything larger than the small 48" King Kutter...want anything bigger than that need to make the investment in better equipment.

How important is it, with a tiller, to try and cover you footprint or is it better try and compensate by offsetting? Danny
