JD 3300
I joined the forum for the sake of my JD 4300. I also own a 455 lawn tractor. It has hydraulics, for a loader I guess. Is there anything I can do with these hydraulics? pump, sprayer or the like?

Thanks

Ernie

I had a look at one last year when I was waiting for my JD dealer to pay me some attention - he didn't so I went Kubota.

From what I remember, you can get a Cat 0 three point hitch for the JD 455 - it's an optional extra though. Once you have that then you can do limited things - cat 0 implements are fairly rare. I have seen post hole diggers and tillers for cat 0 though.

I also saw in the literature that there is a quick-attach hydraulic hook-up at the middle of the tractor (hydraulic deck lift etc) that you can run forward and power a snow-blower off.

Finally, you can get a loader for the 455 from JD, but I (and others) would debate the merits of one for the 455. I doubt the frame is strong enough to really do much with it - the tractor is also fairly light and I would worry about tipping it.

Hope this helps ...

The JD loader is around $4000, I believe. Only good for 400# as well, and a pain to put on/off from what I've been told. Had a service manager tell me only consider front blower. Rear hydraulics will do fine for a small blade or tiller (Cat. 0, if you caan find one).

I have a 4300 and a 445. The 445 will power a 4-way front blade (with down pressure or float), a broom on the front, or a snow blower or snow thrower. I use the hyd. connectors to dump my MC519 cart. Next week I will be putting it back on the 445 to begin the fall leaf pickup here and on other properties. The dump is really great.
I have the FEL on the 4300 so do not need anything like that for the 445.
Have you added any attachments to your 455?

The JD Loader for a 455 should be no nore than $2500. I was going to get a JD425 or 455 , but then I switched to a 4100.

Beenthere, that is the first picture I have ever seen of the dump cart dumping, good pic! I wish i could get a cheap bagger for my 4100.
