Bush Hog or Gannon Rollover Box Blade?

I twisted up my Gannon rollover box. I was able to cut one end plate off, re-align it, and weld it back up. What part did you twist up?

Gannon has never made the Bush Hog roll-over and Midwest does not make all of the Bush Hog gound tools or landscpae products. Midwest is only building the subcompact tractor landscape tools, the blade, box scraper, and rake.

dberg: Depending on what you have in mind for your box blade, you will get real tired of changing the scarsifiers on the conventional box blade. I had a landscaper out at my place using one (rollover) and I was amazed at how efficient he was with it. If you are just dragging material around, and its loose, the regular box might be fine for you. If you are "pioneering" a home site or similar and are ripping and smoothing alot, a rollover is a good investment.

There is a reason you don't see many used! You could try rental places that have Gannons. They will often sell them after a couple of years when they look kinda ratty and dinged up. A friend picked up one for $500. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Well, I'm not sure from the posts whether Midwest is making a roll over box blade or not. I called and the first time they told me no. The second time they said yes. So I just don't know for sure.

The roll over box blade, in my opinion, is the hands down better than a fixed blade. I have cut driveways, cleared building sites, cut trails through the woods, spread gravel, etc. You can change from cut to drag on the seat. You can also do 2x the back dragging by dropping the FEL and the box blade turned so the blade drags, not cuts, and get things done fast.
I think I bent mine by turning it and as I put it down to cut out side of hill for trail, it caught a stump. I don't think I had one side locked into the tine, and it twisted the whole blade. It really is HD, but I'm pulling it with a 60 hp, 6700 lb machine in 4wd.
At any rate, I will keep looking around. And by the way, the link posted above did not work.
