R Panel is the name of the 3 ft panels designed to span 6 ft between girts. It is available from large metal building companies such as Mueller, Whirlwind, and Metal Mart, although Metal Mart does not use the standard R panel and they are higher in price.
Cover the structure with 2 inch chicken wire first, then use vinyl covered roll insulation and then put on the metal. Gives a nice insulated building that looks good inside and requires no sheetrock or other materials to keep the insulation in place.
Yes, they will quote the entire building shipped to your site or just the metal panels. I was pleasently surprised that the metal buildings are much less expensive than all other types and very durable. You should be able to reach Whirlwind at (214)241-0710 (The last digit could be 8 or 9). Their home office is in Houston Texas, but they have sales offices in several major cities.
As an example, I built my barn 5 years ago. The cost of the entire structure and metal panels for a 50x90 barn 12 ft high was $12,263 not including roof vents, insulation, overhead door, foundation, or erection. $12/sq ft is pretty hard to beat! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
