8\' JD Vanbrunt(sp?) drill parts?

Looking at a couple of 8" drills both have fertilizer boxes, one has a agitator in the seed box, and Hyd. lift and looks newer with green paint. One is the Al. color with manual lifts.

Can you still get parts like gears and discs, what would one be worth? And would anybody know the model number?

There was an FB, FB-A, FB-B, ect..... SOME parts are still available, but not too many. Shoup. AgriSupply, ValuBilt, Sloan Express, and a few others carry aftermarket parts that'll work. If you happen to find out that yours is an FBB, I have an owners manual. I also have the small seed/grass seeder attachment for one.

Indy would the FB be a 8'? If so the main one I am looking at is a later generation. Does your FBB book show the agitators in the seed box and the cylinder lift?

Re: 8\' JD Vanbrunt(sp?) drill parts?

They sell for anywhere from a low of $100 to as much as $600 around here. A GOOD, WORKING one will sell quick! 8'ers sell better than larger models.

Won the drill and got it to the farm, unloading was the most fun! It was to much for my B21 so I had to drag it off the back. Anybody have any tips on use, the larger drills I was brought up around are a lot different
