I emailed King Kutter to get touch up paint for new KK tiller. They say they "don't furnish touchup paint", but said the color is "new cat yellow".

Now I guess I will find some "new cat yellow" to paint the bad spots just to protect the metal.

In case anyone wanted to know.......

If I had a lot to touch up I would just paint it a different color. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif That's about the ugliest color I've ever seen.

I have a KK rotary cutter. Painted it last fall with Minneapolis Moline color paint. I like that color better. But that's just my opinion. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Alan,

I just got my KK 5' tiller and I think I will grab some NEW CAT YELLOW too and repaint it......they don't put a lot of effort into the paint job......but then like I alway's said....paint won't make it run any better!!

I'm mainly interested in protecting from rust. Yes, the color is about as ugly as it can be, but repainting the whole thing would be work.

Would that "new cat yellow" be as in "Caterpiller"? Maybe that would be the place to get it?

I saw some on the internet, but it looked more green than the tiller.

Hopefully we can find it in a spray can for touchup.

A lot of the time your loacal tractor supply store may stock the paint for that....and is is Caterpillar yellow. I need to get a little myself.

the money you guys saved on the KK will be real handy when you have to order replacement parts.

That's a pretty bold statement.....care to elaborate?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

...or buy paint! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If their tiller is anything like my first brush hog, that money will also earn a lot of interest sitting in a bank before it needs used for replacement parts. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
