It's not a problem. Leibnitz is just 160km (100mi) far from me /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jagmandave,
As I've said before, about stuff that's found overseas, depending on how you look at it, it's either a PITA or an opportunity.
It could be an opportunity for someone perhaps to start an exclusive distributorship.

I see these around here alot on auctions. they are called buzz-saws. People would cut the trees into poles and buzz them up into fire wood. Most were powered by belts from the tractor flywheel. On some tractors they had an attachment that had a flywheel that connected to the pto.
I found that a chain saw worked faster and alot safer. The new modern chainsaws are lighter and faster than when they used buzz-saws.
Alot of old farmers got hurt on those saws.

Do you not think wood chips of big size (by pto wood chippers) will not burn as good as cut woods (by a saw)? I think by mixing wood chips with coal particles will burn good. Not tried, but I believe so.

When I was around 5 years old I used to help my neighbor cut slabs from a sawmill with a table saw. It ran off a belt on the flywheel of an old tractor. Looking back now it wasn't the safest thing in the world. I've also seen planers that run the same way.

"... it's either a PITA or an opportunity."

Or perhaps it's an opportunity to be a PITA !

I have a Dearborn buzz rig that fits mounts on the 3PH and runs off the PTO via belt that I used to use on my 2N Ford.

Seems to me that finding one at an auction or implement dealer would be alot easier than shipping from Europe. Though maybe not as much fun /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
