Went ahead a bought the toothbar from Markham Welding, after talking to Melissa on the phone how could you not? Great phone gal and helpful to boot. Said she will call the day it ships and also the day it is due to arrive to make sure everything is as it should be. Apparently prices have gone up compared to what I've been reading, I paid $210 for a 60" toothbar-add another $50 for freight (they now can ship these UPS). Still, not bad for the difference in performance when working dirt. She said they are a little backed up-50 units in front of me but will ship in a week. She knows all about TBN, I told her that's how I found them. Said they have been getting TBN orders for a year now.

My 60" that I bought last February was $210 . You won't be disappointed. Great people at Markham. And I love those southern accents. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm also in the que ahead of you but I want to know how you got it shipped UPS? Mine is a 54" bar and is coming via FedEx freight and I have to pick it up at the terminal and the freight cost is more.

I also called Monday about a bar and was quoted $108 shipping to Portland, OR and another $30.00 to ship to my house. If they now do UPS or Fedex that would be great. Having to have it shipped to a business is an added step that can be a problem. What business do you call or ask if they will accept the shipment and what will they charge to do it?

Don't get me wrong I think this is a great toothbar and worth the money they are asking for it but it is the shipping that is a problem.

Got my 60" in January and it was $210 - been tickled pink with it - just wish I would have got one along time ago. BTW, I went to Markham's to pick mine up and have it installed (free) on my bucket so I met Melissa - just as nice in person as on the phone.

Well if you cant p/u at the terminal than maybe one of those mail box stores can accept it. Better yet get your tractor dealer to take it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I live in MO so another $50 to the West Coast is probably about right. Markham has apparently just been able to start using UPS and although not as quick as the truckline offered the rate was $20 cheaper. The company I work for ships and receives alot of UPS and that is where I had it shipped. UPS sets the rates, not Markham, so it's just a service they are now able to offer. She said it might get scratched by UPS but I told her I planned to scratch it up anyway. Talk to Melissa and she can probably explain your options, she was very helpful.

I just ordered one for my 78" bucket and it is coming fed ex freight. I think it probably depends on the size of your bucket, and thew weight. We all have different sized machines /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. BTW Leslie has a nice voice too! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
