I got tired of looking at the 5 gallon buckets holding up my latest planter....

Before the fertilizer attachment gets installed, I HAD to make some "jackstands"...

Take a look!

That's a pretty respectable planter as well as the 'prop' for holding it up.
If me, the first thing I'd do is forget to raise the mast, and have it all folded under the first time out. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Do you raise popcorn, or sweetcorn that you have this?

This year I planted a little over 2 acres of sweetcorn with it, then about 1/4 acre of peas. In a couple weeks, it'll be used to plant green beans. I'm also building a few to sell.

Indydirtfarmer I'm thinking that ol' John Deere would be green with envy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's a very welcome addition to any implement that doesn't want to sit without hunching over once it's cut loose from the tractor. it should save your back on more than one occasion.

I also appreciate any guy that says, "Hey this works, but if I add this it will work even better." It shows thinking on your feet!

Pre'shate it! 20 years ago, I woulda just "horsed" that planter up and hooked it to the tractor/ Nowdays the back is paying for 20 years ago. It's not a matter of just wanting to make things easy.... It's a matter of I HAVE TO make it easier on myself.

I've ran on to a few here close to home. They're off of an older style planter, (246/247) but they're the same thing....

Right now I'm looking for more #71 row units at a reasonable price. This time of the year, they either sell ungodly high, or they're just not even there.....

I've got my entire "inventory" sold right now. Holding on to mine still....
