If anyone has a Land Pride air tunnel 72" finish mower how do you like it? I the quality of cut good, doe's it discharge the clipping evenly? How much grass does it cut per hour? My land is almost all open, level and gets cut quite often.

I can't help you with the 72" model. I would've preferred the 72" model but I found a good deal on a 60" Air Tunnel Landpride (AT25-60), and I like it very much. Here is some information on my 60" model for comparison:

Clippings: The clipping distribution is excellent; however, I must add that I keep the discharge chute flipped up in order to get closer to obstacles. I'll have to mow with the discharge chute turned down one day to see how it does

Cut: I would rate it excellent.

Speed: I mow approximately 1 acre per hour with the 60". The mower could handle a faster pace, but the tractor ride isn't very comfortable at high tractor speeds.

Hope this helps.

I recently purchased an 84 inch FARMKING rear discharge finish mower that I use with my 2000 TC40D Newholland tractor. I mow just the front area around the house on my farm, consisting of about five acres of level fescue grass. The cut is unbelievable and it actually looks like a golf course! Always use a mower-cutter that is at least as wide as your rear tires or wider, if you have the power to do the job, so that your tire tracks are mowed behind you in the same pass. I also use a 72 inch BUSHHOG rotary cutter on the same lawn ocassionally and it seems like it takes twice as long than it takes with the extra 12 inches on the FARMKING. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Sam

I like my AT 2572, I added the anti scuf roller in the front.
If the grass is tall and open areas I will flip the chute open, does a good job blowing clippings way out there. Speed - I can mow the same patch with a JD 318 lawn mower but it takes 3 times as long.

The front roller you installed does it just bolt on or do you have to drill holes for it? Is it a Landpride part?

I had to drill 4 holes for it but I have a older mower. If your getting a new one buy the option and the dealer will put it on for you. That roller is worth the $100 I gave for it, I don't think I'll ever wear it out.
