Anyone have preferences on which is the better brand in rotary cutters and finish mowers--Woods or LandPride?

As far as flexwing cutters go, I would say Landpride is better than Woods.

For smaller models, I'm not sure.

topshop, I have looked at both and I would take either one if the price was right, maybe a slight edge to the woods. But that my 2cents /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Which ever one didn't have air tires would be the one I'd buy... nothing like getting ready to mow with "just enough time to finish " before dark or rain and you now have a flat tire.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

also would hope too find rear discharge if you have the choice

Funny you mention that, because that very thing happened to me just the other day.
In a big hurry to mow and had a flat tire on my KK finish mower.
Aired up the tire, made 1 trip around the yard, flat again /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Lifted up the mower on the 3 point, added at thicker spacer to that wheel to compinsate for no air in tire and keep the deck level, mowed my 6 acre yard with flat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Vince, Yeah thats been a problem more than once for me... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
So much that I switched the 2 back tires to the hard rubber type, Well not long after that I got a ZTR so-far so-good /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Keeping my fingers crossed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Talking finish mowers of course

I have a Land Pride finish mower 84”… it’s quite a machine. Woods is also a nice finish mower. In the size you are comparing get the one with the highest blade tip speed, The FDR2584 is 18,781 FPM /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif… KennyV.
