Default northern wagon

Northern tools has a 2000lb Utility Wagon in their catalog. http://www.northerntool.com/cgi-bin/...1&prmenbr=6970
Its about the right size and height for a general purpose junk hauler. Price isnt too bad if I can get them to honor the free shipping coupon I have.

So has anyone purchased one and have a comment on it?

I purchased one back in March. I had several problems with Northern getting the item delivered. First, they sent me two of the front halves (steering half) and no back half. After about a half of dozen phone calls I finally got the back half delivered (took two weeks). Unfortunately, the back half didn't match the front half that I had. It was a different style with different wheels and tires. After another 4-5 phone calls I received a different complete wagon. This time everything matched. The wagon is not the best quality but probably will work for what you want. It is priced fairly low so I suppose we are getting what we paid for. The tie rods keep bending on mine as they are fairly light. I don't think I would try to weigh it down with 2200 pounds. I think half of that might be closer to a safe weight.

I think you will find that Country Manufacturing actually makes at least some of the wagons that Northern sells. You might want to check with them directly. www.countrymanufacturing.com, I believe.

I have looked at the Country Manufacturing trailers. There just down the road from me. The lowest price unit they have (less) wood is $500. Even the single axle trailer is $350. I doubt they make the northern units but might pattern on it. The CM trailers seem to be heavy duty.

Gary,
I had thought about one of the country mfg. trailers. What did you think of them up close? Were they worth the money?
