Anybody know what this might be?

My wife spotted it mowing and we can't figure out what it might have been.

It appears to pivot on an axle of some sort through the center hole. The one "horn" (right in the picture) has a rusted screw in it. The other horn has a hole in the same spot and the recess for the screw head is visable. The one screw looks to be a steel (not brass) wood screw so the piece was fastened to wood.

Looks a whole lot like a steering yoke from an old UFO that probably crashed sometime just before the dinasours became extinct.

Maybe check on carrige components. It may have been used on the front axle???? Seems a little small though!

Egon, I think you are on to something there. We used to have an old 1914 crysler buggy. It had something near that. for the front axles. I never had it apart to see if it truely looked just like that one, but it was near to that. It was a very light two seat buggy.
