Hi. I also have a Cosmo 500...bought it this Spring at Tractor Supply. The manual was in a plastic bag, taped to the inside of the hopper. The manual is pretty sketchy. Fortunately, the Cosmo is relabeled and sold by several companies. One of them is LandPride. Here is a <font color="red">link</font> to the manual for their version of the Cosmo. The LandPride manual is much better than what came with the spreader. I printed a "hard copy" to file with my tractor stuff.
Is the spreader working OK for you?

Thanks guys.. I too have a Cosmo spreader.. my dairy neighbor knew I was looking for one.. so he bought it at an auction he was at. I had done some searches in the past for Cosmo.. but never came up w/ anything. I've been using it to spread fertilizer on hay & corn fields.. it can really kick it out fast if your not careful. Thanks again!

Has anyone looked at the recommended gate opening settings for the types of seed in the manual? According to the manual, Rygrass seed should have a gate opening of 7 to yield 85lb/acre at 3mph. There is no way it would come out that slow. I would burn through 500 pounds in one acre at that setting! Maybe I am doing something wrong, but that spreader can move some volume, and gate 7 is almost wide open.
