I need a quick lesson on tillers. Which way do you adjust the top link to make the tiller dig deeper - or is this primarily accomplished with the skid shoes? Which part of the skid shoe is the bottom? Regarding multiple passes, it seems like the bottom of the gear box will limit how deep you can go no matter how may passes you make? Finally does anyone have a good match for King Kutter Yellow pain? Thanks for your help.

Yes, the depth setting is primarily done with the skid shoes, and then I, personally, would level it with the top ? in your picture; i.e., the center of the skid shoe.

Shorten the top link to go deeper.. sometimes multiple passes will be required to reach the depth required.

Use the top link to get the tiller on the same plane as the tractor, then raise the tiller shoes as high as they will go.

Use "New Cat Yellow" to match King Kutter Paint

Where do I find "NewCat Yellow" paint? Does TSC sell it, and what brand is it? I'm afraid I'm going to need some paint for my KK tiller before long.

Good time to paint it to match your tractor..
All my King Kutter attachments now match my tractor color.

For those that have a KK tiller I found this out by calling kk tech service.
I bought a KK 6' tiller but it would only dig down about 3" on the first pass. Did not think that another pass would make any difference. So I thought this was not right because my old tiller would dig down 6"-8" on the first pass.
KK rep said to tilt the tiller forward (with the top link) about 5 degrees and to make 2 passes. Sure enough, did this and now it digs to 6"-8".
The difference between the two tillers is that the old tiller has no skid plates. So you can just go real slow and it will dig to China in one pass.
The KK tiller will only dig 3"-4" inches per pass because of the skid plates.
Makes complete sense now!
