Would appreciate any information anyone might have regarding the 854 or 856 model Trac Vacs.

What is a good price?

Has anyone purchased just the vac and hose assemblies? I have a large hydraulic dump trailer (Northen Equip 2 ton unit) that I would like to enclose and use with the vac as a loader only.

Any thoughts regarding enclosing the trailer? I was thinknig of using some EMT tubing and bending up a support frame and covering it with a tarp. Probably a solid front to accept the discharge hose from the vac.

Any alternate vacs or ideas would be appreciated. The leaves are coming.... beauty, work.... a chance to use the tractors and justify more attachments.

I bought the 540 pto version. Just the blower and hose. I also have a nothern hydraulic dump cart. I built a plenum for it to sit on and ran a short run of hose from the plenun to the blower. I hooked the out put of the blower to a box it built for
the trailer. I use it to pick up leaves. It works pretty good. I think I paid about $1600 for the blower. If I can answer any questions, let me know.

One other thing. The trac vac blower blows up a storm. Your enclosure will need to be well sealed around the edges and walls with plenty of screened ventillation on top, otherwise the blow will exhaust all the leaves through any openings.
