Building a new home and need a source or ideas for a large bin that I load with trash/wood scraps, pick it up with FEL forks (bucket off), and dump it into a large trash container.
How about some type of tilting trash container used by forklifts? I have a New Holland TC45D.

Are you looking to build or buy? This one from McMaster-Carr is what I have always seen in factories and warehouses.

Yes, I've seen the new ones but I'm hoping I can find a used one or one that I can build more economically than what McMaster and others offer.

Thanks,

Mike

4 sheets of plywood, 4 pieces of 2x2 or larger, 3 feet or longer long.
make a dumpster out of the plywood which will be 8x8, with the ground as bottom.
you will find you can burn 80 percent of the materials tossed, allowing you to get rid of the dumpster.
i own a business that does new construction clean up, and we did 80 homes last year. the profit is in not going to the dump very often.

Get some FEL pallet forks. Take a pallet (or 2) make 4 sides with plywood or left over what ever. Put a quick latch hinge on one side so it folds down (like a moat bridge). After you fill it tie a string to the lever lift it tilt it & pull the string.
Then you will have pallet forks to move wood around. lift singles to the roof, etc.

Now that's a practical idea! All kinds of pallets laying around that are part of the waste. Why not make a container of these?

Thanks for the response.

The framing crew that built my house had a three-sided wood box (plywood and 2x4's) that was built to fit on the forks of their large Lull construction forklift. They used it both as a work platform and as a very large materials bucket for collecting scrap and dumping it into the dumpster.

I think it was 8 or 10' wide x 4' by 4' high.

They had a drop-in cross-beam like that went behind the fork carriage and held it onto the forks when dumping materials.
