Where do I begin.....
A buddy called today. He's got a BH SQ84T (double spindle, 7' medium/light duty) cutter for sale at $.50 on the dollar of what he paid. He's buying smaller. (Too much mower for the old 32 HP MF50 he has)

I like the concept of the double spindle mower (shorter, less load on he back of my tractor)

Anyone have input on what sort of mower the SQ84T is?

Never seen one in action. Of course, the seller says it's the cure for the common cold/greatest thing since sliced bread/cats meow/ect.

Not a big fan of that particular machine. I like the SQ series, they are our best sellers, but the gear box layout is very odd on that cutter. What tractor are you planning on pulling this machine behind?

Most likely behind a 2440 John Deere (60 HP). I've got a 7' Woods and a 10' bush hog. Both are H.E.A.V.Y. Looking for something a bit easier to tote around.

BushHog Web Page for SQ84T

The above link is to that product.

Looks to me to be a little light for your sized tractor. Main gearbox is rated for 60HP and outboards at 45HP. Bushhog recomends a 25 to 50 HP tractor for this unit.
