Massey 1533 w/BushHog FEL?

Hello…

This coming week is delivery time for my Massey 1533, BUT…

My 1533 that I want to get (dealer has in stock) has the OPTIONEL JoyStick on the fender for the 1525 FEL w/60” bucket (also in stock).

Here is what the dealer has to say… He would give me a 1533 (WITHOUT the optional joystick) and with a BushHog FEL (joystick on FEL) w/60” bucket for the same cost, he told me it was $400 more for the bushhog. Why you ask? Well he is having problems getting 1525 FELs and the 1533s with the joystick installed (so he says). SO he says he would like to give me the “Better” bushhog FEL, lol he likes us I guess. I haven’t seen this setup myself, but the wife went there and said the BushHog looks allot “Stronger” then the MF-1525, the unit is the same Massey Red (in other words it looks like it belongs on the 1533). I am not sure what model this BushHog is, but I am going to go over there and get that info so I can check the specs between the two.

My biggest problem about this… I know the FELs come off, but it seems to me that a FEL should be made by Massey… I mean the tractor is Massey why would you want a different loader if you can get the Factory one? AND one more problem... How much am I giving up if I DON'T have the stick on the fender, meaning as easier to use and the cost of that option (I would think it would be close to that $400 the dealer said)?

I guess why I am posting this to see what YOU would do if this was offered to you. One thing I was wondering is… Will the Massey JoyStick let you Lift and Tilt at the same time? As far as I can tell the BushHog WILL let you do both at the same time.

I think any time you can get a factory loader then that is the best deal. Plus you will love the location of the Massey joystick as opposed to the location of the BushHog joystick. The BH loader may spec out a little better, but I can't imagine you would ever be able to tell the difference.

By all means get the factory MF loader on your new tractor. Its just not the same having an after market loader. I for one feel better just looking at a matching machine, regardless of the specs.

Thanks... I took a look at the BH on the 1533... It looks good, but I don't see anything that would make me give up the factory JoyStick on the 1533. I did see one thing, the tractor I am getting is the ONLY ONE that has the FEL on it with joystick on the fender, all the others have joysticks on the FEL arm.

Really what I think happen here is that he gave me a price for a 1533 with out the stick and was trying to to fix his mess up. Well anyhow I am going with the 1533 with optional joystick and MF FEL.
