There is a 5' Iseki rototiller for sale in one of the local fishwraps here in Northern Nevada for $500.00. I can't seem to find out much info on the net. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

1 - Can I use it behind a BX-2230? (soil conditions: no rocks, 6 to 12" of topsoil with clay under it

2 - Is it a good price?

That is pretty much the going price for a grey market tiller. They come in several sizes. If it is a 2 point hitch model it will require a lot of work to fit your 3 point. You really want a 3 point. Be sure and mount it to your machine before you buy. I have seen them hook right up and I have seen them take a full day in a well equiped welding shop to fit. However, the grey tillers work very well in the soil your describe. The short coming is that your machine won't be able to make it shine. The grey tillers can run at up to 1100rpm. I have used most of the grey tillers and I currently have an Iseki for myself. If it has the tines that have the surface hardening like mine, you will have sharp tines for a very long time.

I just purchased an Iseki grey market tiller and was wondering if you use #90 weight gear oil in the chain drive. Also how much oil do you put in. It has two black filler caps, one on the chain case and one on the top of the tiller. Why two. Thanks, Rob
