2005 BX23
I don't know if I will get this whole thing done tonight but I figured I better get on it. Some people wan't to see more of the install process. I figured this forum was the best place to put an attachment install thread. I have some action pictures in another thread
BX23 grapple
I am pretty sure this is the order the instructions will go in. The instructions were not ready yet when the grapple was shipped to me.
The camera really brings out the water spots on the tractor so please excuse. I should have given it a bath before I did this.

Anyway the first thing to do is lay out where the side plates go on the bucket. They should be square with the bottom of the bucket side plates so its best to put the bucket to the dump position and use a framing square. One hole will actually be outside the bucket and under the top lip.

While you have it in the dump position you can drill the quick disconnect bracket hole in the top right(as if you were sitting in the seat) plug weld where the bucket cylinder is mounted.

once I had the side plate placement laid out I clamped them down and used the drill bit to mark them then drilled a pilot hole in the dimple left by the full size bit. I only had a 12 volt cordless drill and this made it much easier to get through it without waiting for them batteries to recharge,

I bolted the side plates on puttin the head of the lower bolt inside the bucket and the upper bolt head outside. This will give best protection of the threads.
I then removed the loader to get better access to the hydraulic lines behind the loader cross and bolted the quick disconnect bracket in place.

Then I put the vlave assembly in place on the left side of the loader cross bar and installed the hose clamps.

Then I set the grapple on by placing the hooks over the pins.

does it kill the lift capacity?

Then I proceeded to hook up the lines. The valves are numbered and kubota color codes the lines so Jeff is going to have step by step instructions on how to hook them up exactly. I was guessing and I still have some playing to do to get them to lay exacltly right.

Garrabo
No it adds 85 pounds to the weigh of the bucket so total lift capacity is reduce by that much but check out the link to the other thread in the very first post in this thread, I was pretty surprized by the amount of stuff it wouold pick up.
