Re: Tooth Time

YEA!!!! Got it a year and one half ago. It's drug trees out front end loader piled up and we watched them burn ..about 10 cords of good dry oak .I put add in paper for the free wood ,just cut and haul. had one taker for about a cord .Icut about a cord for the guy that sharpends my chains.the rest is history .The Farmall D-35 is a super worker ,everything I needed and more.Takes about 5 mins to remove the front end loader. I only added a tool box and right side step to make IT perfect... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey gm...
You better get out there and start digging some more to rub the paint off and put some scratches on it. Your toothbar looks brand new and even your bucket lip looks pretty new. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif LOL
Mine is due here on December 15th. Can't wait to get it. I started leveling a large pad...about 50' x 100' that needs to be cut down about 2 feet. Man what a lot of dirt to cut and move. I used my boxblade rippers to loosen up the soil and then would go get it with the FEL. I started to use the FEL AND boxblade at the same time to save a little time. There are places where I could not get the boxblade in to cut and loosen, so I used the FEL bucket to do that. Still not done and have decided to wait for the toothbar to save the back and forth time and also to make digging in those hard to get to spots easier.
I am really interested how it will handle getting some of those large rocks out and picked up. I have trouble getting them out and into the bucket without the toothbar. Hope to see a major difference there...

I figured that. Just couldn't help myself..........I'm sure you'll probably have those teeth worn out soon. I'm glad you saw I was just pulling your chain a little. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I need to get some new scarifiers because I bent a couple sideways AND backwards already. I was able to pull the sideway bend out, but can't bend them forward so they cut deeper than the others. Also busted the tip of one tooth off too! I think when I bend them all I'll have a complete set for deeper ripping...HA!
Thanks,

Re: Tooth Time

Same here. The toothbar for my B7510HST/LA302 FEL is due on 15 Dec. First job is excavating for a 70-foot paver block walkway to the front porch on my new house. I'll tackle the 20'x20' paver block patio after Christmas.

Cripes GM, what's with all those holes in your bucket? On the lip, on the side, in a newish looking bucket.

Re: Tooth Time

I see you live in Abilene--I'm just down the road in Midland. Hope to retire in 5-7 years on our place in Menard. Anyway, see you have a donkey. How do you two get along? I plan to get a donkey and a dog and I don't care who is in charge as long as its not me! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
