I saw a Kubota B7610 today with a woods 6500 backhoe. The owner said he has had to replace 3 hoses already(on backhoe), even though he has less than 45 hours on Backhoe. When the backhoe turns, it appears to be rubbing on the hoses until they wear through. Is there a fix , or has anyone else seen this? The center hoses in the mesh bag just below the controls has lost one hose from rubbing. The other two were on the right stabalizing arm.

I should also add that he lives down the street from where I work, so I will give him any advice on the fix. He didn't know what to do beyond keep extra hose on hand. I would assume there is more...??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A length of polybraid hose slipped over affected area works. Most any tough hose will work as long as it will slip over fittings.
I put protective hose on before swaging fitting. If he's having them built he could have that done also.
We also use a spiral wrap (flexible plastic hose cut in spiral down it's length) at work which can be wound around hose and taped in place.

Thanks Mac! I printed your reply and left it for him. I'll check back later to check on him.
