I also picked up this fertilizer spreader which I used today to broadcast 500# of ryegrass seed in about 90 minutes. It was a ***** to mount, and I had to cut the PTO shaft off, but it works real well. Some kind of Italian brand. I paid $349 for this, and $499 for the disk harrow.
I decided against a tiller right now because I have too much ground to cover.

I'm guessing you were serious about the rookie question and not just kidding Alan/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif, but it's not uncommon for implements to come with PTO driveshafts that are too long for your tractor (may be just right for a bigger tractor), so they include instructions for cutting the ends off (where the two sections slide together) to shorten it.

Your attachments look interesting. TSC is now one of my favorite stores. I want a new 3pt spray rig.
I found a concrete parking lot stop makes a good extra weight. They are cheap and it's pretty easy to add some angle iron pieces to your implement to keep the stop from sliding or falling off. Some where is a post of my box blade with the stop. If ya don't paint it it still won't rust. Something to consider, but does not look as much like a piece of modern art.

Try a length of railroad rail for added weight. I beileve the standard rail os 100 lbs per lineal foot. Heavy stuff!
