I'll soon be replacing my 1999 Kubota L3010 hydro with a 2005 L4630. The Woods 7500 on my 3010 was a workhorse, but greatly reduced my ground clearance and stuck out so far behind the tractor that I often bottomed out when traversing uneven terrain.

I'm going to get a backhoe with the new tractor, but was wondering from you experienced big hoe folks which one would give me the best clearance for dodging boulders, stumps, ridges, etc.

TIA, Pete

Pete,

Congratulations on the upgrade. I've looked at both the BH90 and Woods 9000 at my local dealer and both have very nice frame mounts that tuck in tightly behind the tractor. They are very much like the Bradco mounts, and not at all like the Woods mount you have now which is problematic for all the reasons you mention. I think either one will be MUCH better than what you have now.
