Where can I purchase a 3 point boom or gin pole that is hinged with a hydrolic cylinder below the hinged area. I want this type to enhance my ability to raise the load up and down ect. What do they cost? Please give me some options. thanks for your help.

How about using the top of the Top and Tilt system In other words replace your top link with a hydraulic cylinder? If I understand what you want to do correctly this should give you more lift as you will pivot on the side links

I haven't used a pole with the cyllinder under the pole, but my hydraulic top link does increase the flexibility. The cylinder under the pole will probably lift more because the pressure is on the extend side of the piston. The pressure is on the retract (smaller pistion area) side on a top link. My top link will by-pass the tractor's hydraulic system with a heavy load. Of course, there are various sizes of top link cylinders.

Check out this site. Not exactly what you asked for but the design is pretty neat. Looks like you would have a greater range of lift that a straight boom pole. Cost is pretty reasonable although you do need the buy the hitch part as well.

Thank you very much for showing me that item. We may have to adjust to that type item. Again thanks If you see anything out there with a hydrolic cylinder please drop me a line. Thanks again.

I agree with JAS. If you get a hyd. top link and standard boom pole you will have good lift range. Once you use a hyd. top link you will leave your old one in the barn and forget about it.

You can make a hydraulic top link by welding ends on a standard cylinder. Can't post the pics now because I'm on a different computer, but I do have exploded view photos.

Also, make a stinger for your boom pole ..

I have a friend tht has a boom like this for sale He owns a small surplus sales business I can call hime and get you some prices. His has a manualy pump and the boom. I also have used/made those hinged boompoles for bale handling they decrease the lift a little but can drop down to the ground or way above the tractor. I make one with a short boom and a spear or bucket some times.

It would be great if you could get me some prices and pictures or drawings or specs for this. This is something my father has asked me to help him find. He does not know how to use the computer, so I thought I would see if I could help him. Also if you make the hinged boom with and with out the hydrolic cylinder please give me prices ect. What you have told me about is what my father asked me to find. Most of the other responses to this point are for different items. I appreciate you response and any help in this matter. thanks very much. Dennis White 251 Freeman Lane, Yazoo City, MS. 39194
