Hopefully someone in Mississippi can help me out. I ordered a duragrader back in August and regrettably paid by check. Richard Seal the owner talked to me several times and was very helpful. The day Katrina hit was the day my implement was supposed to ship. I knew how bad things probably were and waited a month to call Richard. At first he would answer the phone and promised to ship my order. Time passed and he has gotten very hard to reach. The last time we spoke was before Thanksgiving and he was paying someone returning to my area to deliver my implement. That time came and gone. Now all I can get is his answering machine but no return calls. I certainly don't want to go after a man when he is down but I sure would like my $700 plus back or my implement. Do any of you know Richard in Kiln, Mississippi or can you suggest an appropriate course of action in this case? I don't want to hurt this man or his business. Any help is gratefully appreciated.

Wish I had know of this when I went to visit my Dad in S.W.Arkansas. Actually came right by there, with a trailer in tow.
Any updates on what has happened since this posting?

I hate to hear about your problem. It was probably just a matter of bad timing. But, even though the hurricane hit doesn't give anybody the right to take the money and run. My area was torn up by Hurricane Rita... so I know the feeling. Maybe you could start by contacting the Better Business Bureau. I'm not sure what they can do for you, but, they could probably provide you with info on what steps to take.

Good luck.

Mr. Freeman,

What was the outcome of this issue. I am asking because I am interested in the product.

The owner will not take my calls or return calls although he is still taking orders from what others who call him have said. He cashed my check for $781 and not shipped my order or refunded my money. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau and at some point will make a trip to the physical location. If you order I would highly recommend COD only. You can use my name to inquire as to why he is not shipping if you like!

I'm interested as well. I tried calling today, but got no responce. I couldn't leave a message cause it said it was full. I wonder what is going on if he is still taking oders. I hope things get worked out for you Wayne. Does anyone have his home phone number? The number posted, is that his shop number?

This is kind of funny. My wife asked me what I was looking at a few minutes ago while I was on the computer and of course, I told her TractorByNet (searching duragrader threads). She said, by the way, I had a call back on my cell phone from the number that was posted in the beginning of this thread. I called so many places today, I cant remember what numbers I called. I'm going to call back in the morning and see if he is still taking orders. Hopefully, he is back on track.

A fellow member spoke to them yesterday and they are taking orders. In hindsight it would have been prudent to drive over and pick up the implement on site BEFORE sending them any money. If you speak to them I don't mind if you ask what happened to the Freeman order in Beaufort, SC. It was a 5' model duragrader. Be very careful about paying anything up front.
