I just got a L-2800 in September, and A used Harley pro 6 off of ebay on monday. I know you need remotes to angle it/lower and raise the scarifer teeth. My question is, do I need two remotes because there are two hoses on the rake, or is one remote two "holes" for lack of a better word to plug the two hoses in. A guy I worked for had a top and tilt(which I will eventually add) and plugged his harley in and then had a little wire that I think switched the flow from the angle to the scarifer teeth. That was controlled by a toggle switch. So do i need two remotes or just one to run the harley? Or should I just bite the bullet and get three to run the tnt plus the harley? Im just looking for a little clarification on the remote concept. Ive searched and that seemed to make me more confused.

Thanks in advance
Derek

A "standard" remote consists of a single lever spool valve with 2 work ports that control a circuit containing one or more double acting cylinders in parallel. The work ports are plumbed to 2 rear quick connect connectors that will connect to hoses that go to the double acting cylinder.

A standard remote can control more than one parallel circuit by using an electronic solenoid diverter whereby either circuit can be activated by a push of a button. This method can be used to have one remote control both a top and tilt link.

It all comes down to cost. The solenoid/diverter method may or may not cost more. A large majority of people purchase either a 2 or 3 spool valve to control each function individually.

This subject has been discussed many times here. Once the search function is working again here, you can search for TNT or Remotes and get plenty of hookup alternatives.

I have the Harley Pro 8, it would require 3 spools just to control it. I have angle, roller lift and scarifie hydraulic cylinders on the rake. The electric solenoids make it very easy. I still have my TnT to use on the rake as well. The third spool controls the rake and attached to the lever is a 3 position switch.

I dont know what I am going to do yet, I think I will just get the two remotes to angel and to lower/rase the scarafier teeth. I think adding the top and tilt will be a added at a later date. Thanks for your help. BY the way Rat, what do you mean by roller lift?
