Does anyone know of a PTO cement mixer suitable for a small tractor in the 25 - 35 horsepower range ? All I see are the large 8 - 10 cubic foot variety that are a little too much for my utility tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Ihobson,
Welcome to TBN, you will find this forum very informative with a vast amount of knowledge available from the membership.

To your question

Last night I got the latest Agrisupply catolgue. I remember seeing a 3pt cement mixer for smaller tractors. Price seemed to be resonable, I will look for it tonite.

That was fast. Thanks a bunch ! I've been mixing cement in a wheelbarrow. Time consuming, messy and my muscles complain the next day.

Ken,

How many bags of premix can that mixer handle per load?

Is that a hydraulic tilt cylinder on the top? If so, what size quick connects does it use?

I inquired about the mixers a few threads back, you might want to read them. I haven't ruled out buying one, just rethinking it a bit.

There is no valve though, right. So you need controlled rear hydraulics rather than power beyond or the like which you might have for a back hoe.

I read that a rear remote is necessary, and a two way acting cylinder is best. I would think that the weight of the drum would be enough to lower......I've got the RR.

Ihobson,
Checked on that catolgue last night. January listing, page 29, 3pt mixer .41 cu yd, 11 cu ft, weight 220 lbs. Item #28537 $599.95. Phone 1-800-345-0169. Seems very similar to the mixer Ken is showing, but I cant verify the quality of the unit. Hope this helps!
