I bought one a few weeks ago, but have not used it yet. I read a lot of positive comments on them here on the boards.

We have two of them, as well as a 60".
Personally, I see no reason to purchase another brand, except for the better paint job.
One we have had for 3 years, use on landscape jobs all summer, and also used on some slightly frozen ground last winter without a bit of trouble.
They are the 6 flange style. My Dad had Befco, JD, etc before, and after seeing how well the KKs did for us, he bought one as well.

So the kingkutter does just as good a job as the others? I am also intrested in a tiller. I am a bit hesistant though to buy a kingkutter because of quaility concerns. But the price is right! How does the gear drivetrain hold up?

Thanks.

I hear you. My brother and I had saved to buy a more expensive tiller, but thought that we would try a KK, just because we could not see parting with that much money. We were also told not to go cheap, it would cost in the long run. I think that we test them all pretty hard, and they have been surprisingly good. That is why we bought the 2nd one. They guy that told us not to go cheap now has one, and laughs at his buddy who spent 2x as much on a JD. If you are thinking about it, just do it and do not look back. They work.

I have the 48' KK tiller. One tough peice of equipment. I have hard clay dirt to deal with and it turns it just fine. It is the one peice of equipment that has been with me the whole time, thru the 2200 and the 23, and will be here for a long time to go.

Where are you located at and what kind of pricing you getting on it. Some on here may be able to save you some $$$ if we know where you are hiding at. Fill in your profile with this info will help a lot.

I've got a 60" (I think?) model. It works fine.

Don't get too big of one. It will give your tractor a workout.

Looked at the KK tiller at TS; my only experience with tillers is a 30 year old 3.5 hp rototiller.

Any comments on roots and rocks and weeds on these KK tillers compared to a walk behind small tiller?

kingkutter decison.after reading the experiences with the kk tillers, I too can't see why spend the extra bucks just for the name. Gonna buy the 72" kk for my 4520 jd. tractor.Been priced $ 1475.00 in jonesboro arkansas. kk weighs more than the frontier tillers and the tines look to be just as heavy made.
you have to go to a commercial grade tiller to get the gear driven on the woods or frontier.the kk tiller II comes with the gear drive and no chains. I don't mind touching up the paint if necessary once in awhile if thats all the problems they have.
thanks for the good information!
