I would like to know what to do to convert my L4610 loader to a quick attach. With the Curtis plow, a forklift and the standard bucket, I would like to be able to interchange them without the grief of the linkage pins. Is this an expensive change? My dealer did not even suggest this until after setting me up with my implements and I feel kinda dumb for not thinking about it beforehand. I do not care to go back to the dealer regarding this since I am not too happy with the service I've received. Advice would be appreciated.

Kubota offers an attachment that you install on the end of your loader arms, which then allows you to quick-attach to a bucket or plow. I think it costs about $250. Your dealer can order it.

Kasco and ATI make quick attachment interfaces which you attach to your loader arms and allow you to attach to any skidsteer quick attachment. If I were buying a new tractor, I would buy the loader without the manufacturer's bucket and install the ATI interface with an ATI bucket. This will allow you to use all the front skidsteer attachments such as hydraulic posthole diggers and front plows.

Glenn ,do you have a picture of that kubota product, or could you point me in the direction of a picture? Mike

Mike, I dont have a picture but it is a standard Kubota attachment part. It looks like a long bar that you attach on the end of your loader arms the same way the bucket does. It stays there. The bar has grooves that you attach to the bucket by lifting the bar up under the bucket and then inserting quick attach pins. It's simpler to do than describe, and works very well.

Here is the version that i made. The top "U" shape slides up into the top pins on bucket that always stay on.I then slide a pin in each side on the 2 bottom holes to hold it together.I think it will work with any attachment that has the same spacing as the bucket. Mike

Mike, Kubota's design is roughly similar but does not push the bucket nearly as far away from the arms as your's does. Nor does it give you the satisfaction of successfully building things, as you do so well.

I will go to Kubotas website to see if this is mentioned for more info. Do you know if the standard bucket works or does it also need refitting to receive the quick hitch. Sometimes the devil is in the details.

Treebone, I have pictures of mine on kodak paper, but I don't know how to scan them in. I also don't have a digital camera. If anyone can tell me how, I'll show you my quickattach for the 2910. It works great! If not, then I'll try to borrow a digital camera and post pictures.

I just hold the picture up to the monitor and push 'enter' (grin)
I went to the kubota website and didn't get much (didn't get any) info on kubota implements. It isn't much of a website for a company of that caliber. Don't go to any length to post that picture unless you want too, I will surf some more and probobly check out Carver for more info. If by chance you can post, I would definately like to see it. Regards

I have a kasco quick attach on my 3710. It is similar to the ATI product. Kubota needs to get their act together and get on board with the bobcat style quick attach. I love the quick attach capabilities. I frequently change between my bucket, pallet forks, hydraulic auger and a front end mounted work platform. Takes 30 seconds for changes. In my opinion, JD has a nice setup but it is specific for JD attachments only. Nearly all skidsteers use a universal quick attach. If I was going to get a new loader, I would probably get a Woods because of the optional universal quick attach. The other big advantage of a universal skid steer attachment is when you decide to modify a piece of equipment for the front end loader, you can purchase a standard mounting plate ($70) from bobcat and weld it to what ever you want. Now you have instant compatibilty with the loader quick attach. In addition, skidsteer attachments (augers, pallet forks etc.) are generally cheaper and (maybe better made) than Kubota, JD or NH attachments. Getting a quickattach that is only specific for one manufacturer makes no sense to me. I too had the same hassels as you when making changes to different attachments. If people complain about attaching 3pt equipment wait til they try the pin/hydraulics on a loader. Nothing is easy to align. Make the switch!
