OK gang - We are thinking the 60 Gallon PTO sprayer from Tractor Supply would be adequate for our needs. Any thoughts on TSC, this product specifally , accessories or other brands we really ought to consider.

The pressure gauge furnished with that sprayer is kind of cheezy.I'd recommend changing to a liquid filled 4" version.

Get the "hand gun kit". Not too expensive, and it makes the sprayer much more versitile.

Tee-Jet makes (and TSC sells) 10 PSI check valve sprayer tip bodies. They stop the dripping from unpressurized lines when the sprayer is shut off. If TSC doesn't have 'em, Agri-Supply does. This could prevent you from spraying something where you don't want it sprayed.

I did all the above to my TSC/Fimco sprayer and it does everything I could reasonably expect from it, and does it well.

By the way, what pump did you settle on? (I chose the Hypro 6-roller model. )

Thanks for the feedback. Since we are in research stage, I guess we just learned that we need to also buy a pump for this thing? We're planning to stop by TSC this weekend and obviously want to make sure we get everything we need. Tell us more about the pump requirements please.

On the TSC Pumps, they only have 4, 6 and 8 rollers. What's the diff? What about Cast vs. other materials and the "Silver" models??

More rollers equal better, more consistant pressure. The 4 roller pump will handle all the needs of that particular sprayer. 6 roller is over-kill.

The "silver-Cast" is a coating inside the pump that makes it somewhat resistant to the salts in most pesticides. (glyphosate/round-up being #1 offender in that regard)
Good maint., cleaning after using, and oiling the inside of the pump will accomplish the same end. I fill my pump with diesel fuel after using.

The small electric (RV) pumps sold at TSC will provide enough pressure for most applications. It's volume of flow is a little suspect with some higher volume applications. Fungasides require high pressure, and mix with high volumes of water. That means running a high sprayer pressure OR going very slow during application.
