Do a search in the Build it Forum. I want to build one also, and a guy posted recently how he built one.

Call Carver...they sell Woods Toothbars, but they sell the teeth too.
Not expensive...less then 10 bucks each.

I got my teeth from Fabco, Inc.

Fabco, inexpensive.
Hensley, expensive.
E-bay, inexpensive, search for bucket teeth.

You will need both teeth and mating shanks if you intend to build your own toothbar.
Pic's please if/when you get going.

Add up all the costs and then check out Markham. You may be surprised how competitive they can be vs make your own.

All the best,
Martin

Going with the Markham tooth bar from Antietam, along with the purchase of the NH TC48DA was the best deal for me. By the time I added up the cost and time involved to purchase the items, pay for shipping, or pick up. Markham already has the beveled cutting edge that matched up perfectly with my bucket. I basically calculated that I payed for several hours of professional welding, with a high quality wire spooled, inert gas welder, and a highly skilled welder, who's been welding Markham tooth bars, and knows every in and out of tooth shank attachment welds. I have built my own in the past with stick welding, but the Markham bar was too sweet to pass up on. It almost falls off when you want to remove it. Warning, these Markham toothbars in 72" length are heavy. The bar stock which the 2.25" wide teeth shanks are welded to is 3/4" x 4". Very stout and designed for heavy use. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Post a site for the teeth manufacturer FABCO, INC. I did a search and come up with all sort of FABCO's. One built food machinery and didn't look like they would know about toothbar teeth. bjr
