Hi All,

Thought I would post this to see if anyone has any advice. I just picked up a used 72' finish mower for my new NH TC33D. It was made in Canada by a company called Seaforth. I couldn't find anything on them so I am assuming they are nolonger in business. There are 2 large belts that need replacing because they are streched out such that the tensioning adjustment is maxed out. These I probably can get at NAPA. The big problem is one of the spindles has play in it making me think that it's bearings are shot. There are 3 bolts holding it onto the deck. My question is can the complete spindle be replaced by a standard one? Will this make it out of balance? Am I out of luck if the company is out of business. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Loose spindle:
If you think the bearing is shot you should be able to replace it as it will, hopefully, be a standard bearing available locally.
eg. As an example the front wheel bearings on a 1952 international 1/2 ton were the same as on my 66 chrysler of many years ago.

Thanks! I called them and they provided information and will be sending me a manual. Apparently they don't make this single 72'' "small" deck anymore. They now specialize in very large multi deck mowers for golf courses, etc.
