To All:

With my recent tractor upgrade I am now in the process of researching my new tractor attachment needs. I realize everyone out there is more than willing to help me spend my money- thank you (My wife hates this site.). I have a NHTC29DA (29.0/23.6HP) with dished in wheels = 54.3". I am interested in the 6' York Rake Model RW with flip up scarifier teeth (8), flip up 8"X6' moldboard blade, and caster wheels. The entire assembly weighs approximately 556#'s and its minimum working width = 61". It appears on the surface that this unit can function as a rake, box blade, and rear blade. As in all things in life it appears too good to be true. I would desire feedback from the global community as to their thoughts and/or experiences with this or similar combination attachments as well as specifics as to whether or not the rake/plow is reversible and what is the approximate working depth. Thank you all in advance for your input. Jay

Looks like one unit that will do a lot for you. York Rake's has prices. At $2700+ for the complete setup you could buy a good Box Blade, Landscape Rake and Back Blade. My reasoning is your tractor would work best with a 60" Box Blade, 72" Back Blade and a 84" landscape Rake. Having all the attachments in one piece of equipment would be a plus for the York.
I have not seen anyone here on TBN that has one of these rakes.

Ron: Thank you for your input. The York Rake's price makes it difficult to justify its purchase when it can only approximate what the box blade with scarifiers and rear blade can do. I will start to actively shop for used local attachments at local dealerships. I agree with your basic reasoning as to the attachment sizes: I may go slightly larger with the BB and smaller with the RR. I am leaning towards Land Pride and Woods products for the Box Blade, Rear Blade, and Rake; but I will keep an open mind as to what I can get second hand. As to Rotary Mowers I need a 60" cutting width. My old tractor/RM combination took out all the big stuff at the cost of the RM, but I have no saplings and/or brush in my lower 6A's. I can probably get by with a standard duty RM. Jay

I bought an "International" brand 7' york rake for ~$600 last year. I know it's not as good as York brand, I only use it 5-10 times a year, so a cheapy worked well. It's not loaded with features, but it gets the job done.

L39Builder: Thank you for your input. I always "research" out the best and usually get what I need to get the job done. My mantra: we're all in this together and we'll make it work. Jay

i have a similar rake it helped make a nice rock free lawn. I have wheels and blade on mine. The blade is not heavy duty. I like the rake and wheels.

Thank you for you input. When I really started to look at the size, configuration, potential use I realized that I needed an 8' rake. This "reality" has led me on a new decision path. Jay

i have the 7 foot York RW with 30 hp tractor.
it does not spin 360, pushing stuff in reverse is not that good for 3pt hich
just get the rake with wheels.
