Had TC25D, now JD X310
I did a search and couldn't find anything like this. I was prompted to think about this given the number of people who are buying their first tractor, like me! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Would it be possible to develop a list of recommended tractor additions/options? I realize that there's a very broad spectrum of tractors, so the list couldn't be tractor or application specific, although some options would imply certain options. For example;

1. Chalkley Cup
2. Tiltmeter http://www.tiltmeter.com
3. Aux lights
4. Bucket hooks
5. Tooth Bar for FEL bucket
6. HDPE container for Diesel Fuel http://www.bayteccontainers.com
7. Hand pump for diesel fuel container http://www.harborfreight.com
8. Chains for use in snow regions http://www.tirechains.com
9. Suicide knob
10. Bucket replaceable cutting edge.

Others?

Once we get a complete list (will that ever happen?) /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif perhaps it could be posted as a file.

I won't even mention the fact that you got two 3's in there, /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif, but the chalkey cup has got to be number one.

Keep the greasy side down.

I seem to always bring the same one to this question.... and first: suicide knob! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Especially with a loader.

And that reminds me of something I forgot to mention in the proper place: Both the PowerTrac and the EarthForce machines come with a "necker's knob", standard!!! Maybe that's really what drew me to them both. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Another thing: The references to the "Chalkley Cup", even the suggestion that it be ranked first, makes me feel a little less guilty about the fact that I've been asking for a lot more assistance than I've been giving lately. Luck of the draw, guys, not intentional. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

One of my favorite additions is unfortunately a bit pricey, but I think you get your money's worth out of it - a 4-in-1 bucket.

Mark.... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif you've got to be one of the only guys on here that puts a 4in1 in the same category as a beverage cup, aux lights, and tiltmeters. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif $10... $100... $35... $1,800.

Muhammad - Well, I said it was a bit pricey... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. But I still think it's offers trememdous "return on investment". To date, I've had 3, maybe 4, people say something like "How do you justify having one of those things?" when they saw it on my L4310. My response in every case was "Have you ever owned one?", and in every case their reply was "No." 'Nuff said. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

All seriousness aside, though, I realize it's not quite in the same category as the other "additions", but since it's not the same kind of thing as a three-point hitch attachment, I don't know what else you'd call it...

OK, I've updated the list and corrected the numbering /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif, now how about sources for these items?

I'm new to this tractor game with the recent purchase of a b7500. Pardon my ignorance, what is a chalkley cup?
