    Default Covington Cutter

I purchased A 5' Covington Cutter. The problem is that There is no slip clutch or shear bolt arrangement on the drive shaft. Is this safe? The cutter has a 1 3/8 spline shaft as does the tractor.

I have an old Covington cutter that I junked a few years ago. It also had no gearbox protection. I used it for about 25 years and cut many 2"-3" sapplings and never hurt the cutter or the tractor(s). I'm not saying this is the wise way to go, but just my experience.

If you need one? We have the new clutch that would go on the 1 3/8 inch diameter-6 spline shaft--Ken Sweet

I own a Covington cutter. Was built I think in the 50's. I need to replace the bottom seal, but I can not find any numbers on the seal. Please help.
