Just received my first 3pt attachment, a landscape rake with wheels. I have a jd4110. Got it hooked on and the 3pt is spread so wide if I turn at all it rubs the rear wheels. I am embarrassed but what is the trick I am missing?

Thanks

You should have anti sway chains to tighten up on your tractor 3 point. This will probably take up the slack--Ken Sweet

If Ken's suggestion does not work I have seen the pins moved to the inside of some implements for more clearance

Thanks I got it
The dealer had those so crooked it is amazing I was able to attach the thing at all in the first place.

vaj, you have to tighten the turnbuckles that are attached between a horizontal shaft on the back of the tractor and each lift arm. Otherwise, the attachment on the 3 ph can swing back and forth, and, yes, rub on the wheels. I had to learn the same lessons until I coded it into my brain to always tighten the turnbuckles.

I threw away those little cotter pins that were included with the turnbuckles and just run some tension straps between the turnbuckle and the ROPS assembly to keep them from turning once tight.
