I have a 3 point disc breaking plow that I bought used for breaking up green fields, works great, it's an old john deere brand and all the parts are there. The disc blades are approx 24" across and there are 2 with a tailwheel to keep it in line. I pull it with a ford 640. I have used the search feature here and at yesterday tractor site and can't find anything about proper setup. I have just been eyeballing the setup and sometimes it's right and sometimes it takes a bit of tweaking to get it right. I was wondering if anyone could please post some tips about setting this plow up. Thanks

"and there are 2 with a tailwheel to keep it in line."

The tailwheel is used to keep the plows at a certain depth.. if you find the plows are digging too deep.. lower the tail wheel.. raise it to plow deeper.

It is for a Dearborn but I would guess they might be close

I just bought an old Dearborn and it works great. I have found I need to change my top link length quite a bit between transport and "plow" mode. I use mine mostly to break up dirt before box blading. Works much quicker for me than the rippers on the box blade. I think I get about a 7-8" bite on each pass, but it does move the tractor sideways; have to use FWD since my tires are not filled. Have fun.
