Has anyone built or added a stand to support a rear blade when it is off the tractor. Any photos or drawings would be great.

Here is a picture to give you an idea of what can be done. The stand is 1" x 1/4" square tubing. The holder is 1.5" x 3/16" square tubing. The foot pad is a small piece of 2" bar channel. The 1" tubing stand fits inside the 1.5" tubing holder with a little slop to allow the stand enough room to move up or down. There are several holes drilled into the stand to allow the stand to be fixed in several positions up or down.

I just put a jackstand under my rear blade. Works fine unless you need to move it frequently.

I will take a picture f my rear blade tomorrow. It is a Frontier RB2072 and came with a stand buit on. It is nothing more than a welded piece of tube with a steel leg rod that slips in and then is pinned to hold it in place. Reverse it (leg in the air) when the blade is in use.

That is what I did too but I found that it will stand up on its own by tipping it back slightly on the angleiron behind the blade (on a concrete floor). It seems fairly stable. I would not do it this way if kids were around.

I just saw a picture of a stand (in another thread) that sounds similar. The stand is by Steve_Miller. Nice simple design.

Here's another option that could be used for just about any implement.

Thanks Bota - that is exactly like the Frontier stands.
