What is the story here? Are they out of business or is the website a hoax? In the last seven weeks I have made three attempts to email them for an owners manual, a current catalog and info on parts. Have not recieved a single reply! I have tried on four occasions to use their Dealer Locator feature on the website and every time that function was not available! Has anyone else had similiar problems or is there a problem with my computer or my communicative skills? Very dissappointed!

Boomer33,
I just checked their dealer locator and am getting the same "non" response as you, so they've obviously got a problem. The email deal, however, doesn't surprise me. It's very easy for businesses to ignore email. It's also easy for businesses to get flooded by emails. It's so easy to send email, most people don't think anything of it, but they would probably not write a letter. They list a toll free number at the bottom of their home page, so if you haven't received an answer to your emails, give 'em a call. Now the real trick there will be to get a live person on the line and not just a bunch of "press 1 for English" menus.

Same deal for me. I emailed Woods with a question about scraper blades (whether a line had been discontinued or not) and never got a response.

Boomer33,

I have run into the same thing with a number of companies, don’t take it personally. As Hoss said, I don’t think they have the personal to answer all the e-mail they get. Why do they list an e-mail address? Good question. It does not seem to be the best business practice. I also think many of the companies don’t want to by pass their dealer net work by letting you work directly with the company. Why do they list an e-mail address? Good question./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I do not think that they are paying any attention to their website or, like some of you have noticed, their email.

The last time I looked the site over in August, it worked fine. Somewhat dated, but fine. I emailed them complaining that their pages were outdated and never heard back.

Didn't Woods recently merge with another implement company?

Terry,

You can bet that if WOODS did merge, then that's why they are not watching their web presence.

Try contacting a WOODS dealer.

I looked over their site yesterday and everything looked fine. Woods

In fact, I believe they've updated it also. Maybe that is what the problem was.
