After visiting several webb sites for china chipper, I was shocked at the variation in prices for the 6" China Chipper. They varried from 1,750.00 up to 1,950.00, with the latter selling it for 1,550.00 if you bought a tractor from them. Finally, I stumbled across the China webb site, (www.ChinaBestProducts.com) and was amazed to find out that they sell for 1,550.00, and that includes an additional five new belts and two x-tra new blades. They provide a list of warehouse points across the country which were plentiful, in my case Detroit. 1,550.00 to the warehouse, can't beat that with a stick. Just thought some of you might want to know.

just an FYI for those not in the know...
Chinabest is a broker and nothing more. They are NOT a dealer.
You will be left to deal with anything and everything that occurs in the shipping process.
You will pay extra in brokerage fees, etc...
But the biggest problem with ordering from a broker is you become the dealer. If the chipper arrives broken, missing parts, scratched, etc... it is your problem to fix. They can supply you the parts, but it will take another 60-90 days to arrive.
They can't offer you much in the way of product support either.
I'm not saying don't do it, but for the little bit of extra money it costs from a dealer, you will save a lot of hassle and won't have to wait 3 months. You should also get a warranty, etc...
Although Chinabest claims to reimburse you for warranty work done at a dealer, the dealer won't stock parts.

To avoid some of those issues, do the chinabest warehouses actually stock the chipper itself? I would much rather be able to pay for and pickup the chipper in one transaction. This would allow some inspection and eliminate the waiting and uncertainty of shipping or extra costs.
The chinese chippers require assembly and some tuning to work right so it is not a plug and play deal. For that additional level of quality you'll need to pay double for a name brand like woods.

I bought mine from a dealer in Indiana last year . It was ready to run and cost $1550 at his place. I had to double check it but it has worked fine.

I just took delivery of one of these chippers on Monday. I found it through the dealer link on the ChinaBest website. The only dealer that had one is stock was on Victoria Island, and he just happened to making a trip to Port Angeles to pickup some backhoes from another wholeseller. Saved me a trip to Canada.
You're right about some tweeking on the unit. Mine was fully assembled but not quite to my specs. I greased all the zirks and one looked like it hadn't ever seen a grease gun. I also had to adjust the drive pulleys. Although it ran fine, the two pulleys weren't in the same plane so the rear belts were tighter than the front ones.
After all that, it ate some 5" x 35' Alders in pretty quick order. No limbing required. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif My neighbor even came around to help, then asked what I was going to do with the chips. Seems he wants to throw them between the rows in his garden. Things get easier every day. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Bremerton dealer quoted me $1400 (excluding tax) but couldn't give me a delivery date. He said the shipment had already left but he didn't know if any chippers were on it. It doesn't make much sense to me to have a container on it's way and not know what's it it but that's his story.
MCE Equipment out of Canada let me have it for $1600 delivered to Port Angeles so it was a little more than I would have paid with taxes.

Is it alright for me to get nervious when they are selling green cards on-line? I'm not sure I understand that.....
Appears there is a $200 customs fee added if you buy an implement only, not with a tractor? Kinda says that part both ways, but it states it in bold letters in one spot, $200 charge.
